Angel's 5th Birthday Party

Angel turned 5 February 1st, 2011.
She wanted a  "Carousel Party",  so we went to the Salem Riverfront Park by the Willamette River. We invited the Blanchards and the Bassetts. Mom said we would only get 1-2 rides, but we ended up having 4-5 rides because the Blanchard cousins taught us the "Ring Game."
This is how you play:
You have to get a horse by the edge . The Carousel will have a fish ( or some other animal) at one side of the carousel that will be up on a pole. There are lots of green, white and red rings, but only two brass rings. The other rings are there to make it take longer and make the brass rings harder to get because each brass ring is worth a Free Carousel Ride.
Christopher got a brass ring every single time. In the end, all the older kids, not including Christopher, did Rock Paper Scissors to see who would get one of Christopher's brass rings, and I won!
We went out to the park to eat sticky cupcakes and open presents, but it was too too cold... Ah well, maybe next year...

CHINESE OPERA!!!!

Yes another post! Athena, her big brother Sanford, Christopher, and ME                        ( of COURSE!)  went to a Chinese Opera! It was called "The Chinese Orphan".

It was about this wicked man who wanted to kill all the relatives and all of this Chinese family called the " Zhao", and he killed them all except one orphan that he did not recognize. COOL, eh?

US!                            Athena,        "General",          ME!(Dorathy!)

The "Orphan" and the"Princess"(the "Orphan's" mother.).
The boys with "The General", they were pretty happy about this shot!  "The General" was a pretty important character. He helped the baby "Orphan" get away from the wicked man.(Mr.I do NOT remember his name!)

The Field Trip

Last Friday was crazy!!  We had a field trip to two museums-one well known, one not. We had a short family prayer, breakfast, and scripture study, and then we cleaned the car and picked up the Bassetts and Hedlunds. We drove to the Jensen Arctic Museum and went on a tour . They had things like Arctic Eskimo yo-yo's, Arctic dolls, and Arctic books. Then, when it was done, we went to have lunch. Mine was a cheese-and-ketchup sandwich, some chips, and a molasses cookie. Then we drove to the Polk County Museum and we had a lot of fun. There was a pioneer-like playroom for kids. Me and my cousin and best friend Athena had a lot of fun playing we were pioneers. Mom took pictures.

We were "Elizabeth" and "Alice,"pretend pioneer girls .

Here, we were borrowing Pa's horses and wagon to ride to school. They had pretend pioneer dress-up clothes, in which we are wearing in these pictures. L.O.L!

Say cheese! CHEESE!

The Gospel

When I was at Church last Sunday, Stake President Peterson called me, by name, onto the pulpit. My face was red as I climbed the stairs to the pulpit.

He asked me questions about my brother, a Deacan, my baptismal covenant, and finally, he asked me to bear my testimony.

And I said: I'd like to bear my testimony that I know this Church is true,                                         and that the Book Of Mormon, the Holy Bible, the Doctrine & Covenants, and that the Pearl Of Great Price is true, and that we can all live together in Heaven someday, and that Thomas S. Monson is our Latter-Day Prophet, and in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

My new journal

Hello everyone! This is my FIRST post on my NEW blog! My Mom already has a blog, but since I can type now, she's letting me have my own blog.
                        About Me:

I'm 9 years old, I am very artistic, and I also like to write and read(and I'm very good at them, too!). I have a big brother named Christopher, 12, 3 sisters, Courtney (7), Angelia(4), and Julianna(2). This is my new journal, and I plan to use it to deposit my artwork, poems, thoughts, stories, etc. I am a Mormon, and I belong to the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. Wish I had more to write, but I've got to go.
