I am 11!

I turned 11 recently!

Me and two of my best friends, Athena and Jacqueline, had a hang-out/slumber party.

First we went to the Kroc Center in Salem, OR, and swam, then we went to the nearby Cold Stone Creamery, across from the City Center Street mall.

They sung 'Happy birthday' to me and I opened presents.

Then we observed the Playmobil and Calico Critters toys ant the neighboring Learning Palace at the mall, while mom got some Papa John's pizza next door.  Then, afterwards, she bought me some Calico Critters, the Yellow Labrador Dog Family, as another birthday present.

Then we went home, set up the hide-a-bed couch in the living room, and played.

We ate dinner: pizza!

The pizzas were Hawaiian, chicken, and cheese.
We also had some veggies.

Then we watched the Princess and the Frog, and went to bed.

Halfway through the night, Athena crawled under the hide-a-bed to sleep.

We all woke up at around seven, but Athena didn't come out till at least eight-thirty.

Athena's Slumber Party

I got invited to a slumber party at Athena's on the 15th of March.
She was turning 11 this year.
Her real birthday was the 11th, but the 11th was on a Sunday so she had it on the 15th.
Which means Happy GOLDEN Birthday to my cousin Athena!
The other 4 people she invited were: Jacqueline, Taylor, Ayla, and Hannah.
I knew the first and second, but the latter two girls were Athena's school friends, and I'm homeschooled, so naturally I wouldn't know them.
But I got to know them, anyways.
I gave her: a Beanie Ball ( a Beanie Baby in the shape of a ball), a bracelet my sister Courtney made, Glow Sticks, a plush Jolteon (a kind of Pokemon), and a bag of Skittles.
She LOVES Skittles and Jolteons especially.  
So as you can imagine she was pretty happy!
Some of her other presents were: Pokemon cards, Pokemon cards, and a jewelry kit.
Saying Pokemon cards twice was NOT a mistake. 
Two of her friends gave her the same pack of Pokemon cards.
Funny!
Anyway we had a great time.
 
 

Jacqueline Playdate

Me and Jacqueline got a playdate on the 10th of March. 
We played with her forest animal figures, and drew a lot.
Then me, Jacqueline, her mom Jamie, and her brother Johnny, went to the Aquatic Center.
We had a LOT of fun.
How can you not have fun, though, playing with your best friend?
I wonder!

Fun Playdate

On Saturday I had a really fun playdate.
 It started when I woke up, did my list, and ate two bowls of Cornflakes, and some grapes, for breakfast.
Then Athena and the other Bassetts picked me and Courtney up for clogging class.
We clogged to "Sway,"  "Friend in Me,"  "Uncle John," and  "Vacation".
My friend Jacqueline was there, too.

Afterwards, we (Me and Athena) listened to my Mp3 player and went to Athena's farm and played a "Bomber man" game.
Then, we went to my Grandma's house and had lots of fun playing, and had lots of snacks for lunch.
Me, Athena, and my other favorite cousin, Katie, had lots of fun playing.

As soon as it was time to go home, me and Athena drove home in the same car, and played all the way home.  Since it was a car pool,  the Bassett's car was at our house.  We had toast and green smoothie for dinner, then we went to bed. 

 
 

Turning 10

So sorry everyone, I have not posted since June!
I turned 10 on July 15th.  My party theme was "Harry Potter."
We did a bunch of fun things.
First we all got "Sorted" by the "Sorting Hat"(a sparkly plastic party hat).  Mom was the voice of the Hat.  I was in Ravenclaw.
Then we played Pin the Glasses on Harry Potter.  My Aunt Mary drew the picture- she did an awesome job!

  Jacqueline and Athena tied for closest- no one got it exactly.

After that we played "Spell Tag."  Then we played pretend Quidditch.

Then we had "Potions Class" with Professor Snape (a.k.a. Dad). We made glitter glue, and a potion with melted gummy bears.                                      
Then-  Dinnertime!   We had lasagna, green beans, milk, and crusty garlic French bread.  Yummy!
After that was cake. My cake was a golden snitch!!!  I designed the white wings.  My Mom made a chocolate cake and frosted it with yellow vanilla buttercream frosting.    
                                              
After that, present time!!!  I got so many awesome presents!  I got lots of books and stuffed animals.

Then was a movie.  We watched "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Then we slept on our hide-a-bed.

Jacqueline's B-Day Party

Jacqueline had a movie star/awards party and she invited me!  She had placed a large red tissue as a walkway to her front door.  Her cousin was sitting in a chair and she asked each of us,"Can I have your autograph?" Like we were famous stars or something.

When I went in the house, I saw her cake. It was shaped like a miniature Hollywood.
We painted our hands and printed our hand prints on pieces of cardboard with stars on them.  Jacqueline's mom said it was like the place in Hollywood where movie stars place their hands into cement. Then we made pretend commercials.  Jacqueline's mom divided us into 3 groups.

My group did pretend Barbie commercials.  I got an award for the most information in my commercial.

After that, we did presents. My present was a doll Rapunzel from the movie Tangled, some nail polish and a large box of Nerds.

  Then we had cake, pizza and 7-up.  While we ate, we watched Tangled. Then I went home.  It was very fun.
