CHINESE OPERA!!!!

Yes another post! Athena, her big brother Sanford, Christopher, and ME                        ( of COURSE!)  went to a Chinese Opera! It was called "The Chinese Orphan".

It was about this wicked man who wanted to kill all the relatives and all of this Chinese family called the " Zhao", and he killed them all except one orphan that he did not recognize. COOL, eh?

US!                            Athena,        "General",          ME!(Dorathy!)

The "Orphan" and the"Princess"(the "Orphan's" mother.).
The boys with "The General", they were pretty happy about this shot!  "The General" was a pretty important character. He helped the baby "Orphan" get away from the wicked man.(Mr.I do NOT remember his name!)

The Field Trip

Last Friday was crazy!!  We had a field trip to two museums-one well known, one not. We had a short family prayer, breakfast, and scripture study, and then we cleaned the car and picked up the Bassetts and Hedlunds. We drove to the Jensen Arctic Museum and went on a tour . They had things like Arctic Eskimo yo-yo's, Arctic dolls, and Arctic books. Then, when it was done, we went to have lunch. Mine was a cheese-and-ketchup sandwich, some chips, and a molasses cookie. Then we drove to the Polk County Museum and we had a lot of fun. There was a pioneer-like playroom for kids. Me and my cousin and best friend Athena had a lot of fun playing we were pioneers. Mom took pictures.

We were "Elizabeth" and "Alice,"pretend pioneer girls .

Here, we were borrowing Pa's horses and wagon to ride to school. They had pretend pioneer dress-up clothes, in which we are wearing in these pictures. L.O.L!

Say cheese! CHEESE!
