The Mackay Cousins come over

Our 2nd cousins (meaning my mom's cousins), the Mackays, came over!!!
There is:  Aunt Joanna, Uncle Andy, Brooke, Jessica and Austin.
They came late Friday night, at their hotel.
The next day, we visited with them.
First we went to the Gilbert House.
We had a lot of fun.
Then we went next door to the carousel.
I found out that they had taken my favorite horse, Magic, off to make room for a Christmas horse named "Glad Tidings".
Some hard world, huh?
We rode twice, playing the "ring game"- see older post.
Then they invited us over to their hotel to swim in their pool, and we had a lot of fun swimming there!
Then they came to our house to play and have dinner.
Frankie had a lot of fun with them, too, and vice versa.
We had homemade hamburgers and french fries with purple grapes and raw veggies.
Me and Jessica played and, with everyone else, watched Pete's Dragon.
Then we made Jessica's bed on the black "futon" in my room.  We also made Austin's bed in Christopher's room and Brooke slept on the hide-a-bed in the living room.
Uncle Andy and Aunt Joanna drove back to the hotel.
We were just about to go to sleep when... pause for effect...
IT STARTED TO SNOW!!!
We all went outside to enjoy some fresh air and snowflakes, then mom read us some stories aloud, then went to bed.

When we woke up the next day (Sunday), we looked outside and guess what?
EVERYTHING WAS COVERED IN GLORIOUS SNOW!!!
Church was canceled due to the hazardous driving conditions :(
Anyways, we had a wonderful snowday off.
Brooke and Julianna sledding down our driveway!

Dad's best friend, Bradley Jackson, came over and surprised us.
He pulled a HILARIOUS prank by walking to our house and writing SCOT on the snow in the car window and hiding.
We didn't know it was him until he came and told us, L.O.L!!!

Angel after a rough backwards sled ride!

Him and I built an awesome snowman that was too tall to last until 3:30 p.m. *sob*
Bradley rolling the snowman's head- he's so tall, we only got him up to his mouth...  silly silly silly!

It was a great snowman, anyway.  It was about 6 feet tall!

The Bassetts came over later and we played.
Later everyone went home.
We had dinner, watched a Book of Mormon movie, and went to bed.

Nameless Poem

I wrote this poem after Mom challenged me to write a poem with contradictions in it.

A boy was walking on the street,
A race he's sure to win,
He flew into the city,
Stopping at a farm within.
"Excuse me, I've no time to talk,
For I don't have to go,"
The farmer said.  "It's July, boy,
So now I've got to snow!"

Without some time to ponder this,
The clock struck seventeen,
And suddenly, the purple sky
Had turned a shade of green.
And, then and there,
The boy saw an invisible lion
And also, the carrot tree
Was seeming to be crying?

And then the kangaroos flew out,
(Also a full-grown lamb),
Saying to that potato tree,
"You're just a hunk of ham!"
Then the coyotes turned to him
(The boy's name was Tom),
"We'd better eat you now, my girl,
'Cause you're a nuclear bomb!"

And then there was a war between
The lion and the pup,
An unlucky star shined in his eyes-
And then the boy woke up.

Vacation Part 1: Yellowstone

We went to Yellowstone for vacation.

Day 1:
We drove all day.
We arrived at the KOA Campgrounds in Idaho at 11:00.  Grandpa Dotson arrived, too!!!

Day  2:
We stayed at the campgrounds for awhile, then went to Craters of the Moon.  I almost got lost!
Then we hiked in a lava tube and had lunch.  I bought a cute little fox finger puppet that I named Phoxy.
After that we went to my Uncle Jared Dotson's house.  He had a daughter named Caylee.  We had fun playing, then we went to bed.

Day 3:
We went to church and  I went to Caylee's class.  We had a lot of fun.  Then we went home and played.  Caylee had a toy dog named Alpha, but she spelled it Alfa.  He and Phoxy soon became fast friends. We made little nests of grass for them, and taught them how to climb trees, and they even went to a pretend spa.  We did the spa by taking  them to the upstairs bathroom, getting them wet with a washcloth, combing their fur and blow-drying it.  Then we made them collars and played some more.  After that we ate some dinner and went for a walk.  We came by a playground and played there.  There were 4 springy horses named Champ, Lucky, Jumper and I don't remember the other one.  I got on Lucky.  Then me and Caylee went on the swings.  Then we walked home.

The super super super super awesome vacation:)

I went on vacation to Washington for three days!  I visited my second cousins- fun! And they live by a lake!!!

Day #1
We drove and drove (and dro- whatever) until we got there.  Then we played.  ( I played with Jessica).
Then we swam in their lake until dinner!
Dinner was Stroganoff.
Then we watched Muppets from Space and went to bed.

Day #2
We woke up and took showers, then ate breakfast.
Breakfast was cereal.
After that we played and went to Church.  (Read my post "The Gospel" to know what Church I went to.)  We got home at 2:27 and had a late lunch, which was French Bread pizza.
Then we played until dinner at 7:00, Pork Carnitas
We watched some Bugs Bunny cartoons, and then played "Road Runner and Elmer Fudd" outside.
After that, we played Smurfs Dance Party on their Wii, then went to bed.

 Day #3
We all woke up and had pancakes, eggs, and sausage.
Then we played outside and played Smurfs.
After that, we played at a park, and hiked around a lake.
Then we started going home.
On the way, we stopped at a mall with a carousel and food court.
We rode the horses.  I named my horse Gemstone.
Then we ate at the food court's Baskin' Robbins. It was a perfect day!

The teeth X-amination

I've lost 3 teeth in 3 months... all canines!  How probable is that?

Month 1#
Mom read an Alaskan story about an Eskimo.
I wiggled  my not-so-loose tooth.   It got looser &  looser & looser.
That night,it got so loose and tickly that I asked Dad to pull it out and he did!

Month 2#
Athena came over for a sleepover.
We had corn chowder for dinner.
My tooth was so loose, I couldn't chew the ham.
The next morning (Dad was at work the night before) Dad pulled it out quick as lightning!

Month 3#
I went to Olive Garden the night before.
The food was so filling, there was leftovers!
After the Dallas Summerfest parade, I went home and had leftovers for lunch.
The leftovers were bread sticks and Fettuccine Alfredo w/ grilled chicken.
My tooth was so loose, it came out in the bread stick!

In the excitement of all these events, there were no pictures:(
